“One burner on the Viking rangetop would only light if I held the knob down for ten seconds. He found a cracked spark electrode plus a port half packed with old spill, cleared the ports, fitted a new electrode, and showed me the flame pattern to watch for.”
“The oven side of our Viking range kept running about forty degrees low, so roasts came out raw in the middle. The glow bar igniter had weakened and was never opening the gas valve fully. A new one went in and he checked the cavity at three rack heights.”
“Low flame on two Viking range burners kept dying whenever the hood ran. Air shutters reset, one worn simmer valve replaced, then he ran the hood wide open to prove the flames would hold.”
“The infrared broiler in our Viking range would not stay lit once it cycled off. A thermocouple went in that afternoon, but the warped burner shield had to be ordered and landed a week out, so we ate a lot of pan-seared steak in between.
